Meal Prep Challenge Day 6, Let's get organized!


Good morning!

It’s Day 6 of the “Healthy Meals Made Easy: A Free 7 Day Challenge to Help You Cut Costs and Calories” & today’s action item is:

Determine a place to store your favorite recipes so you can refer to them when meal planning (binder, recipe card holder, digital format).

When it’s time to plan your meals for the week, it can be time-consuming to search for good recipes to make. If you’re anything like me (Katie), you sometimes get mom brain and forget about good recipes that you’ve made in the past. That’s why Kaileigh & I both prefer to keep a designated area for recipes/meal ideas that we can refer back to when we’re meal planning each week.

If you’re more of a pen & paper type of girl, a binder and/or recipe card holder is a good option so you don’t lose the good recipes that you’ve made (or would like to try).

If you prefer to keep everything online, then apps like Pinterest or Google Keep are amazing to keep everything in one place. I (Katie) also like to use the iPhone Notes app in my phone to keep previous meal ideas/plans to refer back to later.

It may seem like a tedious task to do this step, but it will save you SO much time and brain power later on when you’re meal planning for the weeks to come.
